Belize Lodge & Excursions Limited (BLE) is a multifaceted eco-enterprise company located in an environmentally sensitive and biologically rich area and is designed to promote travel and low-impact ecotourism, conservation and sustainable land use in the region. The Companys core business is operating a series of three unique lodges among different habitat settings of southern Belize, Central America.

BLE provides a select offering of ecotourism excursions within the Boden Creek Ecological Reserve (BCER), Golden Stream Conservation Corridor (GSCC), Port Honduras Marine Zone, Sapodilla Cays Marine Reserve, the surrounding Toledo District and with our Overland Tour Division, throughout Belize as a whole.

- Indian Creek Lodge is nestled at the foot of the Maya Mountains and serves as our main lodge for land based accommodations and excursions within the region.

- Jungle Camp is situated on the pristine Golden Stream deep in the heart of the Belizean jungle. The Camp offers a truly one-of-a-kind overnight experience with an expedition down the river and through some of the last remaining lowland tropical rainforest left in Central America.

- Belize Island Lodge on Moho Cay is loated within the Port Honduras Marine Zone, a large protected area of undisturbed coastal island, lagoons and mangrove habitats. This lush tropical island paradise of white sand beaches and azure blue Caribbean waters offers guests seeking upscale amenities an opportunity to explore the rich marine and coastal environments of southern Belize. - Overland Tours - BLE offers a variety of overland tours to many other destinations in Belize including the northern and central cays, the Cayo and Orange Walk Districts. The Five Sisters Lodge & Tours is located in the scenic Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve. This is the largest protected area in Belize, boasting an immense Rain Forest and natural Wildlife Sanctuary. The Five Sisters Lodge & Tours obtained it's name from the five perfectly gushing waterfalls and the numerous crystal pools that form part of this natural wonder. These waterfalls empty into the famous Privassion River, which meanders through the heart of the Forest Reserve.

The sparkling, clear water of the river, the shimmering spray of the falls and the contrasting green of the forest are accentuated by a wild display of colorful flowers of over four hundred and fifty species of orchids, palmettos and other exotic plants. The continuos flowering of these plants throughout the year produces nature's own kaleidoscope of brilliant colours and the crisp air is always heavy with a fragrant, exciting aroma.

La Ruta Maya Belize River Challenge is a grueling multi-day canoe race traveling a perilous river route across the country of Belize. The route runs West to East along the Macal and Belize Rivers, once the only link between beautiful San Ignacio, in the foothills of the Maya Mountains, and the bustling port of Belize City. This is a race for everyone (not just professional racers)!
The race will be held March 7 - 10, 2008!

Registration ends March 1, 2008 at 4:00 pm.
